Resides in Montréal, Québec
Lise received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in 1985. She completed a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Université de Montréal in 1988 and a Masters in Architecture from Sangath in Ahmedabad, India in 1991.
In 1995/96, Lise travelled to the University of California in Berkeley, USA, to further her architectural studies via a specialized study in architectonics and to expand her computer skills with work on Auto-Cad, 3-D Studio and Form-Z.
As early as 1983, the Centre Régional des Loisirs Culturels in Kapuskasing, Ontario commissioned Lise to design and build an art installation, Le Mur Qui Parle. She held art exhibitions: photography and installations in various art galleries in Montréal . In 1995, she founded, hosted and participated in organizing a Symposium on Art and Architecture with the Gallery Articule in Montreal.
Art and architectural field trips have taken her to various locations worldwide: Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, Florence, Rome, Venice, Edinburgh, Glasgow, London, New York, Boston, Chicago - Oak Park, San Francisco, Vancouver, Quebec City, Barcelona, Athens, Greek Isles, Mexico, India, Hong Kong and Japan.
Lise participated to the realization of architectural projects in Canada, France, India and the United States. In 1999 and in 2002, she applied her professional experience and interests in photography to teaching a course on cultural analysis and environmental design at the Université du Québec à Montréal.
In 2005, she taught an introductory course, "Architecture Across Cultures" at Concordia University. In 2006, also at Concordia University, Lise taught "Architecture Culture Power". A course that explores how different architectural works express the visions of the civilizations who created them and how these become the worlds we live in.
During the past years, Lise has been involved with the development of a new architectural prototype that serves as a contribution to quality of life via the venue of residential development.
The prototype incorporates the principles of a "Live Tradition" where Montreal International 21st Century mixes harmoniously with Montreal Victorian 19th Century Vernacular.
A new and innovative project where one can enjoy living with nature via gardens and roof gardens.
