R5 A Dream Home Architectural Model 1’–8” x 1’–0” x 10” 2006 A summer home for a family of five (5) based on the aesthetics of industrial architecture, as set in the natural countryside. This project takes its form from a composition based on primary geometric forms – the square, the circle, and the triangle. Essentially, two (2) towers are linked by a bridge where the bridge serves as a Galleria for Living, complete with dining room, living room, and a grand piano. The towers serve two (2) distinct domains and activities – one for daytime uses equipped with family room, kitchen and laundry facilities. The other for nighttime uses, complete with master-bedroom-bathroom for the parents and bedrooms and bathroom for the children. R5 allows its inhabitants to live with nature …. to the sound of the wind through the rustling leaves, to the music of the waters of the flowing stream ….and to the whim of weather and the passing of the seasons.
